METALLICA M72 POP-UP SHOP LANDS IN ZURICH TOMORROW
May
ZURICH, CH – As the heavy metal titans prepare to shake the foundations of Stadion Letzigrund on May 27, the “M72 World Tour” experience officially begins early for the Swiss “Metallica Family.” Tomorrow, May 26, the highly anticipated Metallica M72 Pop-Up Shop will throw open its doors, offering fans a sanctuary of exclusive gear, rare collectibles, and a heavy dose of thrash metal culture.
The Details: Where & When
Located at Sektor 11 (Siewerdtstrasse 71, 8050 Zürich), the shop serves as the ultimate pre-show pilgrimage. Unlike the standard merchandise trailers found inside the stadium, the pop-up shop is designed as an immersive experience for the hardcore “Fifth Member” and casual fan alike.
Opening Hours:
- May 26 (Tuesday): 8:30 AM – 8:00 PM
- May 27 (Wednesday – Show Day): 8:30 AM – 8:00 PM
- May 28 (Thursday): 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Exclusive “Zurich-Only” Loot
The M72 tour has become famous for its city-specific branding, and Zurich is no exception. Fans can expect a range of items that will not be available anywhere else, including:
- Limited Edition Posters: Daily silk-screened posters featuring unique artwork commissioned specifically for the Zurich leg.
- Event-Specific Apparel: T-shirts and hoodies emblazoned with local Swiss-inspired Metallica motifs.
- Collectible Vinyl & Media: A curated selection of the band’s discography, including special editions of 72 Seasons.
- Lifestyle Gear: Past pop-ups have featured everything from Metallica-branded skateboards to exclusive YETI drinkware and Blackened Whiskey collaborations.
More Than Just a Store
The pop-up shop is part of a city-wide takeover. For those looking to do more than shop, the Swiss Red Cross is partnering with the band for a “Bleeding Me” blood drive nearby, and fans can head over to The Valley Lounge in Kemptthal on the evening of the 26th for a fan-led warm-up event.
“The pop-up shops are our way of bringing the tour to the streets,” the band shared in a recent update. “It’s about the community coming together before the first note even hits the air.”
Pro-Tips for Fans
- Arrive Early: Lines for these shops are notoriously long, and limited-edition posters often sell out within the first two hours.
- No Ticket? No Problem: You do not need a concert ticket to enter the pop-up shop.
- Go Green: Fans are encouraged to bring their own bags, though Metallica-branded totes are usually available for purchase.
As Metallica brings their massive “in-the-round” stage to Zurich this Wednesday, the pop-up shop stands as the first stop for anyone looking to “Full Speed or Nothing” their way into the concert week.
Are you planning to queue up for the exclusive Zurich poster tomorrow, or are you holding out for the Snake Pit on Wednesday?
